a convo whilst pp was supper-ing pp: de, this is the best indomie ive ever eaten in 25 yrs of my marriage. mm: *gave me the evils* yah okay good. so next time i dont have to make it for you anymore.
okay quick post. seriously my fats are like a fountain flowing. no wait not fountain, its a waterfall. and im so hopeless at exercising now. havent step into the gym for a month and so last night i decided to go on the treadmill. after 12 mins, i was dead. TWELVE MINUTES! whatthecrap is that? this morning i had a short swim and now my leg is killing me. seriouslyyy! i told y that im gonna run w her and indi when i get back to perth, and of course, gymming with s is definitely gonna be ON!
so anyway i havent been doing anything much lately, just the usual. i was discussing w my dad how i really have nothing to do in perth (classes are so little, lah) and i told him i want to work. he doesnt like the idea because he knows im gonna get shit jobs and im not gonna get any worthy experience out of it. true, but still. anyway then he said "golf. and cooking courses." which sounds awesome now i just gotta find different courses. i wanna try to do food as well, like different ones. italian, mexican etc, but itd be hard cos itd has to be without beef pork AND salmon.
you must be wondering why salmon? cos ive decided to give it up for forty days of lent. i cant think of other things that i enjoy and often eat. so i guess salmon will be it. yesterday we went to eat jap food and my-oh-so-kind-and-loving-family purposely ordered more salmon dishes (salmon sahimi, salmon spicy roll, salmon teriyaki and others i cant rem) cos they wanted to tease/test me. and seriously, they actually dont eat that much salmon. usually, the only time they eat salmon is when they try my dishes. so anyway, i didnt eat any of the salmon HAH! okay enough of my salmon story. now i feel like smoked salmon bagel like how i promised s! sorry, we gotta wait for 39 more days.
okay im gonna sleep now. hopefully i can wake up early enough to swim. early means 11am, which is perfect weather for swimming. no, not because of the sun. bandung's weather has been extremely rainy this feb and the rain usually starts from 12pm ish onwards. this was the weather on tues"
yes, it was flooding. and guess what else came from the sky other than water? ice. yes, crushed ice! how scary!
goodnight kids dont forget to pray happy ash wednesday (to those who celebrates). what did you give up for lent?
sigh

a conversation i just had with pp
me: pp i think God's giving you an angbao for CNY this year pp: what? me: spore casino's opening this friday
hello world! ive been so lazy to blog for this couple of days plus i just came back on monday. macau was great, and hongkong too! eventhough not much (or in fact hardly any) shopping done, im extremely satisfied:) bringing maks around, spending LOTS of quality time with her. as much as i really wanna be free and live all by myself in a foreign country, im quite sad that next year (and the couple of years after), i wont be seeing her as muchh.. seriouslyy.. look at the pic below,
how adorable? how can i not miss her??
and so anyway i was checking celebs heights and weights (like i usually do) and so..
nicole richie weighs about 41kg at the moment and shes approx 155cm WOAH. me standing at only a couple cms taller than her, 41kg is a looooooong way to go :( but..
vhudgens is about 47kg and shes approx 157.. i think this is a more reasonable goal! but seriously, ive been slacking with the exercise and i can seriously FEEL my fats shake as i move. one, i have ALOT of excess, unnecessary fats. two, im the total opposite of toned. FML, i wish i can wake up one day and be fit, slim, toned without doing any exercises. beside swimming, at the moment i have zero interest in other means of exercises. someone give me a pill that can boost up my "active" level, thanks. and btw when i reached home from macau, the first thing i did was checked my weight. i gained a kilo! but i guess that was understandable.. the food was awesome, below are some of the yummy food that i decided that it was okay for me to indulge on haha.
#1. MANGO DESSERT (times 5). yes, for the 2.5 days i was in hkg i ate in the place for FIVE times. i know eh, no wonder the weight gain. actually to think of it, God was super nice to only let me gain a kilo. #2. smoked salmon bagel (which reminds me of you, s). when im back, lets go to lemon. they have one of THE best in perth! anyway seriously, venetian has the best breakky room service ive ever had. i couldnt miss it. #3. MACAROONS! it was the awesomest macaroons ive ever had in my whole life. i think its even better than harrods'. i cant remember the brand, but it was some fancy branded one in hkg. i only had two of them, one was fig and the other was a rose mixed with some fancy ingredient i cant remember. THAT WAS SERIOUSLY MOUTHGASM. ive added one more thing on "things to do before i die" list: try all the macaroons from that particular brand. #4. haagendaaz dessert :) #5. portugese eggtart. something you cant avoid when you walk down the streets of macau. rian munched down 7 of this one after another at one go on the last trip.
okay this is it for now. i shall not be lazy to blog regularly, goodnight kiddoes dont forget to pray!
.. and just few shoutouts for you lovelies.
syz: congrats on your results, no more cic life for you. celebrate when im back yes? crs: goodluck for ur exam, i see HD coming:) yul: have fun be safe in sydney! ver: congrats on surviving your dentistry rural thingo! sann: ill be checking my mail every single day cant wait im frexcited!
mango dessert yumm
Wednesday, 3 February 2010 @ 11:42 am
so anyway at the moment im trying to let time pass by till 4.30, cos thats when we'll leave bandung for jkt airport. we're going to hkg and macau, cos parents have some meeting in hkg, and macau, cos maks havent been there before and shes getting old so yeah. and ive decided not to sleep till then so i can sleep like a pig on the way and feel refreshed when i reach hkg. the up and foremost thing im looking forward in this whole trip is (either than showing maks around)... THE MANGO DESSERT. THE MOST FRAWESOME MANGO DESSERT IN THIS WORLD. I forget what its called but im sure if i mentioned mango they locals will know it, plus its everywhere, its convenient. OMG JUST THE THOUGHT OF IT MAKES ME DROOL FREAK FREAK YUM YUM I WANT SOME. okay weird, tomorrow i will even starve the whole day to eat like three (at least) of those different types of dessert there YUMMY. okay lie, i wont starve i wont be able to, and i wont eat three at one go ill get brain freeze. but neway I CANT WAIT YUM YUM YUM.
other than that, i really have nothing to say. what have i been doing, other than going to dermatologists, facials, coffeetalks, nothing much. oh i went to this place called "Carmel" its like the main Catholic place in Bandung, many people come to Bdg for it and for those of you having exams soon (next week if im not wrong), and waiting for ur results (s), ive prayed:)
so anyway i didnt know what else to write/blabber on about and a blog without picture is so mundane. ive decided to share what i brought along with me when i go travelling (okay lame but nvm this kills time), and also, as i was packing, i realized how i bring a piece of you guys along, tchawww. but seriously, this shows how incomplete my trips are without you guys:)
1. a novel. for the plane rides, for when the others are asleep/busy while we're waiting for smth, and most importantly, for morning toilet runs haha. 2. apple hand cream, courtesy of michy seriously its the best/yummiest handcream! i got it in phils few weeks back and i have never gone out of the house with it, ever. 3. wallet. 4. erm yap 5. the cuff that paris/my lovely friend of almost 8 years (shit so long now eh), gave me for 19th. seriously thank God you bought me that one, it matches with everything and its one of my staples nowadays:) 6.phone, in which btw, has vicky's, pynnies and C's on wallpaper. and i swear i didnt not change it just then or anything, its been that since the day it was uploaded on fb? :) i wake up i see the phone i see you before sleeping i see the phone i see you hahaa 7.. ipod. courtesy of CLEE! dont know what id do without it. 8.. laxative. dont laugh, very important while travelling okay. 9.. watch 10.. another bangle 11.. make up kit, in which has y's sunscreen in it. its frawesome, even though its big and i really gotta squeeze it in, i bring it all the time everywhere here! its so easy and convenient to use! i just remember i gotta take it out eh i gotta put it in my luggage instead! 12. bag oh bag. i purposely numbered cos i wanted to tell you guys about my dream last night, doesnt make sense now but wait.
so anyway, my dream last night was that we were in a middle of a riot, a democracy, like the one in 1998 in indo. they were after the Chinese, and us being Chinese we gotta run for shelter and hide. this Chinese leader/soldier came to warn us first before the people who were after us came. so he was like "Come come faster everyone you gotta come with me, we got a shelter for you. leave everything behind except your most important thing". and then i remembered whilst everyone was stuffing money in their pockets, i was looking for my navy balen. when i woke up i thought to myself, "WHATTHAFRIK? THATS MY MOST IMPORTANT POSSESSION?"
seriously how pathetic can i be? running for shelter admist all these riot, and the only thing in my mind was my balen? isnt that oh so pathetic my friend? so anyway that makes me realize that buying a branded, expensive, costly (imagine how many kids in africa can eat with the same amount/ how much the amount of money can contribute in helping the haitians), is actually NOT that unworthy cos i use love it so much that i use it very often. okay my theory with this worthiness of a bag is..
let say i use it 3 times in a week (and i really do) thats 12 times in a month thats 144 times in a year. and this bag will last me for years (and yes, im telling you beforehand that imma use it often still so dont mind me being old and boring). when you divide the cost of the bag with the number of times used, it aint bad. whereas, buying a bag that yeah you like it but so so that youd only use it for a few times? average cost will be equivalent (y)
okay anyway im gonna finish up my last min packing stuff now bye kids dont forget to pray! bb will be off from tmrw onwards but ill be checking fb/email so if you guys need anything from hongkong please please please holla:)
ps. when i see places in hkg, im gonna rem so much of leavers:(
love you all and study hard s, ur results are gonna be awesome!
new year new maid new hair
Monday, 1 February 2010 @ 11:44 am
two of my maids decided to leave today whathefrik and seriously its not because we're so demanding or what. the maid were a couple and they only met here in my house. so few days ago, my mom told the guymaid to live at the apartment instead cos it was quite disturbing to the rest of the maids/guards living in the house. and also, we dont want them to get pregnant in the house, that would be just weird/wrong. and seriously the pay its not that bad either, its not great, but its definitely not underpaid. so then last night both of them told us they had to go back. they said they were going back to their hometowns, bs theyre so leaving together. but anyway, not our problem. the others said that they were leaving cos obviously the guy still wanna stay in the house and theyre sorta threatening us cos they know feel that they are needed here. so no way ho say if they call back next week to ask back for the job. okay now when i read it again it sounds harsh, but seriously im not exaggerating. okay enough about my maid as if you guys would be interested to hear haha. oh wait actually funny thang happened...
theres another maid whom we always teased with the security guard. so anyway, the other day, the kitchen phone rang. usually the guards will call the kitchen to ask the maid to open the front door straight after he opens the garage. so that day, since i was right beside the phone i picked it up: (translated in eng)
i go "yes?", then he repied, thinking it was me:
"hello sayang, mam's here faster open the door, okay bye muuuuuachhhhh" then hangs up.
i burst out into laughter i even literally ROFL! then i told my maids what happened and we all started ROFL too! when i went out that night i saw him as i was leaving out of the house and he literally bowed down and kept saying sorry poor guyyy! he must be so ashamedd! hahaha! neway talking about this particular security guard as well, apparently one day my dad asked him to buy fried noodles but he bought kuay-teow (dont know how to spell) instead. and he bought two as well for some reason. and being ppp (a person who is badly in need of anger management courses. and he was also having an extremely tough day at work that day), he got extremely pissed and go "YOU BUY WRONGLY, YOU EAT ALL OF THIS" at his face and went away...
..the next morning he was so pale and keep rubbing his tummy so my mom asked him what happened and he was saying how he got tummy ache from eating the kuay-teow! poor guard, and hes super nice and friendly and funny as well. but neway, who would be so gullible to eat ALL of it?
okayy, really. enough about maids now i cant remember what i wanted to blog about urghh. i shall do it tomorrow when i remember lah. uh-oh btw, i got an extremely short haircut like a bob style. and btw, i found moofussa too! and the weird faces, i was trying to imitate the face :S
im super not used to it its freaking short.
okay goodnight i want my old hair back it feels weird its shorter than y's and e's yuck. and i gained a kilo in the weekend fml
65% LCB and 35% LCF
Saturday, 30 January 2010 @ 11:35 am
so anyway yesterday i had dinner with this culinary person, BW*. so he has a culinary tv show here. so what he does is goes to different food places and try their food and comments on them. below is a youtube video of him:
before i heard he was coming to town, ive heard of the name before but i was not very familiar. probably because i dont watch much local channels. anyway i thought he was some normal indo person who just love to eat. but no, oh man this guy has been to everywhere. AND i mean EVERYWHERE. he been to all the good places in america, france, australia and many many more. he was telling me all about "RAW" (a healthy rest in the US where all the food are either raw/ cooked but under 80deegreecelc) and how good it surprisingly is, so definitely a must try! oh yah btw, the "RAW" conversation started when i told him one day im gonna open a rest/cafe with a good selection of scrumptious (yes, scrumptious) salads, cos indo is lacking on them and its sad that only angmohs know how to cook and appreciate them! so anyway he also told me about this teppanyaki restaurant which had a 45min max table turnover. all the chefs there are thought to "un-pleasants the mood" when its close to 45min. the owner actually thought the chefs tricks such as, burning the food, dropping cutlery etc etc! how funny!
neway during dinner i asked him about le cordon bleu, and he totally recommend it so yay:) so anyway during dinner, whilst talking about food and such, i didnt fail to forget to ask him how he manage to stay a good size (cos usually foodies are big in size). he told me that he only try the food, he doesnt finish them. also he works from monday to friday (imagine trying all diff kinda foods, esp them being indo, are very very fattening), then on the weekend he detox. no food at all and the 1.5kg he gain, will vanish! can u imagine if he doesnt detox tho? 1.5kg per week, 6kg per month, 48kg per year FHL!
so anyway, today dad and him had a seminar. i didnt see though, woke up late and had relatives over. and anyway, when my parents got back, they were telling me how BW* send his regards to me(yay) and told them how he really enjoyed talking to me at the dinner and how i should pursue cooking (duh) and if i need anything in the future he'll be happy to help:) man i love this guy i wish he's my grandfather. and btw, he's 60 he looks super young for his age dont u reckon?
not a very nice picture (in fact is super bad i literally am obese in the pic, and in real life too actually) but this was the only one w me at the moment.
how i wish the whole food = fat is reversed. the more you eat the skinnier you are! WOAHHHHHHHH ps. damn funny this morning. while my mom was praying before breakfast i whispered "and God please let all the food i eat now not go into my thighs, arms, tummy and let is disappear" and she started laughing. then after the prayer "HOW YOU KNOW TTS WHAT I PRAYEDD??"
neway few shoutouts:
correction for Y's blog: TOTALLY CRAVING MARCHE! yummai rosti and my german sausage and the awesome dessert (WRONG) TOTALLY CRAVING MARCHE WITH MESA! yummai rosti and my german sausage and the awesome dessert + FRAWESOME COMPANY (CORRECTED) lets do spore after ur bro's wedding :)
vickay: its super hard to get a orange peel skin for gemini :S
sarahann: i dont use it very often:( hard to match with outfit cos i gotta be really really really simple otherwise its too boomboompow ill look like a fruitcake (cos colourful). i wish i can use it more often so that it sags tho. plus my dad reckons its too childish therefore i dont really use it when i go out w him. got any new bags recently? i am still wanting a chanel. everytime i see someone wearing it i really envy them! but im scared its too overrated, what do you think?
and this is for cristal:
sorry gotta post this up, its just FRILLARIOUS (dont worry, not in a bad way, in a frute way:))
goodnight and dont forget to pray (not for your thighs, arms, or tummies.) just an idea that suddenly randomly pop out: lets all pray for the less fortunate people who cant access to computers/internets. CAN YOU IMAGINE YOURSELF IN THEIR SHOESS?? seriously! itd be like; blog? huh?
would u rather have free clothes OR have free lunches? (in the future)
Tuesday, 26 January 2010 @ 10:01 am
what a stupid question, friends like u guys (pointing especially at y) will choose the latter
okay so you know how im planning to go uk in 2011, maybe not anymore. i dont know :S few days ago pp gave me an idea of doing something in the culinary world after crtn. he reckons ill like it more, plus the career options is better since rian is already sorta doing the clothing business. cos parents are now interested in the food market (hence, we are in a much thicker physiques except rian the weirdo, if you compared from last years. but that will hopefully change soon for me haha ok stop rambling) , and whos gonna take over and expand?
so maybe it is a good idea. and pp have always said from day one that he'll be much happier if i dont go study in uk cos of the distance. so anyway i found out theres a good school "le cordon bleu" in sydney. its pretty darn good, some of the alumnis includes:
stephanie izzard: top chef 08 winner
julia child: the real julia in julie&julia (whoever dont know/ havent heard/ not planning to watch the movie = youre a loser)
so anyway,i did pros and cons for both (following C's style) and:
london college of fashion fashion business majoring in buying and merchandising:
pros: what ive been really wanting to since year 12, winter/gloomy season all the way woohoo i like, the people, the places duh (the architectures, the sightseeing the store displays), the shops, and cris will be there and bel, basically its LONDON
cons: pp wont be very happy boohoo go cry one corner jokes ill be seeing them less:(, much much much more exp ill drool in front of the stores and not get to buy them, whole new country
sydney's le cordon bleu patisserie chef:
pros: australia, hence im used to the lifestyle, i can see my family more often, i know more people whos already there, can send rr over, cheaper/used to the exchange rate
cons: australia again? (i know confusing, its sorta pro and con at the same time), dreams of taking bachelors degree in fashion business is crushed (cos no way im gonna have three degrees, not funny)
basically both has its pros and cons. i could still go to london to take up their short courses (LCF offers heaps of them so yay) but its just that i wont actually take a bachelors deegree there which is quite sad too. those two are the only schools i prolly wanna go into after crtn. and now im stuck. if u ask me what i wanna do (career wise), im not sure. i would love to open boutiques and stuff but opening a rest/cafe would be my passion too. i enjoy both of them equally. im stuck and i only have a year left to decide urghh
okay i was gonna list the gazillion titles of movies ive watch and comment them but i think this is pretty long already.
oh anyway some pics i dont like posting without pics so plain:
yummy macaroons which ill be able to make perfectly if i choose le cordon bleu
ok done goodnight kiddies dont forget to pray and givethanks to God/Jesus/MotherMary/Allah
ps. things to do when i get back to perth: cny dinner with girlies:), plan/book birthday dinner (yuck im twenty already?) u guys can start brainstorming where u wanna eat, breakky with yul

seriously how pathetic can i be? running for shelter admist all these riot, and the only thing in my mind was my balen? isnt that oh so pathetic my friend? so anyway that makes me realize that buying a branded, expensive, costly (imagine how many kids in africa can eat with the same amount/ how much the amount of money can contribute in helping the haitians), is actually NOT that unworthy cos i use love it so much that i use it very often. okay my theory with this worthiness of a bag is..
let say i use it 3 times in a week (and i really do) thats 12 times in a month thats 144 times in a year. and this bag will last me for years (and yes, im telling you beforehand that imma use it often still so dont mind me being old and boring). when you divide the cost of the bag with the number of times used, it aint bad. whereas, buying a bag that yeah you like it but so so that youd only use it for a few times? average cost will be equivalent (y)
okay anyway im gonna finish up my last min packing stuff now bye kids dont forget to pray! bb will be off from tmrw onwards but ill be checking fb/email so if you guys need anything from hongkong please please please holla:)
ps. when i see places in hkg, im gonna rem so much of leavers:(
love you all and study hard s, ur results are gonna be awesome!
new year new maid new hair
"hello sayang, mam's here faster open the door, okay bye muuuuuachhhhh" then hangs up.
i burst out into laughter i even literally ROFL! then i told my maids what happened and we all started ROFL too! when i went out that night i saw him as i was leaving out of the house and he literally bowed down and kept saying sorry poor guyyy! he must be so ashamedd! hahaha! neway talking about this particular security guard as well, apparently one day my dad asked him to buy fried noodles but he bought kuay-teow (dont know how to spell) instead. and he bought two as well for some reason. and being ppp (a person who is badly in need of anger management courses. and he was also having an extremely tough day at work that day), he got extremely pissed and go "YOU BUY WRONGLY, YOU EAT ALL OF THIS" at his face and went away...
..the next morning he was so pale and keep rubbing his tummy so my mom asked him what happened and he was saying how he got tummy ache from eating the kuay-teow! poor guard, and hes super nice and friendly and funny as well. but neway, who would be so gullible to eat ALL of it?
okayy, really. enough about maids now i cant remember what i wanted to blog about urghh. i shall do it tomorrow when i remember lah. uh-oh btw, i got an extremely short haircut like a bob style. and btw, i found moofussa too! and the weird faces, i was trying to imitate the face :S
im super not used to it its freaking short.
okay goodnight i want my old hair back it feels weird its shorter than y's and e's yuck. and i gained a kilo in the weekend fml

so anyway yesterday i had dinner with this culinary person, BW*. so he has a culinary tv show here. so what he does is goes to different food places and try their food and comments on them. below is a youtube video of him:
before i heard he was coming to town, ive heard of the name before but i was not very familiar. probably because i dont watch much local channels. anyway i thought he was some normal indo person who just love to eat. but no, oh man this guy has been to everywhere.
(in the future)

what a stupid question, friends like u guys (pointing especially at y) will choose the latter
okay so you know how im planning to go uk in 2011, maybe not anymore. i dont know :S few days ago pp gave me an idea of doing something in the culinary world after crtn. he reckons ill like it more, plus the career options is better since rian is already sorta doing the clothing business. cos parents are now interested in the food market (hence, we are in a much thicker physiques except rian the weirdo, if you compared from last years. but that will hopefully change soon for me haha ok stop rambling) , and whos gonna take over and expand?
so maybe it is a good idea. and pp have always said from day one that he'll be much happier if i dont go study in uk cos of the distance. so anyway i found out theres a good school "le cordon bleu" in sydney. its pretty darn good, some of the alumnis includes:
stephanie izzard: top chef 08 winner
julia child: the real julia in julie&julia (whoever dont know/ havent heard/ not planning to watch the movie = youre a loser)
so anyway,i did pros and cons for both (following C's style) and:
london college of fashion fashion business majoring in buying and merchandising:
pros: what ive been really wanting to since year 12, winter/gloomy season all the way woohoo i like, the people, the places duh (the architectures, the sightseeing the store displays), the shops, and cris will be there and bel, basically its LONDON
cons: pp wont be very happy boohoo go cry one corner jokes ill be seeing them less:(, much much much more exp ill drool in front of the stores and not get to buy them, whole new country
sydney's le cordon bleu patisserie chef:
pros: australia, hence im used to the lifestyle, i can see my family more often, i know more people whos already there, can send rr over, cheaper/used to the exchange rate
cons: australia again?
