what mattered the most was knowing that the love was mine to give, without strings or expectations

excuse the title, it's corny i know. i got it from a book that i just finished reading, "dear john". i got it before the holidays, and i kinda forgot about it till i was packing for my flight back to Perth. it was just standing there on the untouched bookshelf until i decided to bring it to keep me company on the plane. i shoved it inside my handbag which was on the bedside table the night before the flight. Not being able to sleep (it usually happens when i have to fly the next day), i took the book out to read, to tire my eyes out and hopefully sleep as soon as possible. instead i finished about 3/5 of the book, and slept only for an hour before i had to get ready to leave for the airport. yes, it was that good, trust me on this, im a person who used to loathe reading. the book is written by nicholas sparks, the writer of "the Notebook" and "a walk to remember". i just wonder how writers (especially men) can express their thoughts into such beautiful phrases, sentences, paragraphs.

anyway, the book on the left is one i shall read next. its gonna be those typical Lauren Weisberger's novel i can predict, but this one is set in London. so itd be pretty interesting to read familiar street names i guess? as to compare to the states, a place that ive never been to. im such a saddie, its like everyone has been to america except me. ive never even seen snow in my life? and everytime i asked my parents about america my dad especially, he goes "aiyah u go with your friends. i cannot stand long flights. what about somewhere closer instead? like singapore? or macau? or bangkok?" -_-

ive decided 2009 shall be the year i visit steph. ive promised her for like 3 years now i think? teehee. she even came Perth to visit me before, cmon Perth! a place that is like urm dead. i dont know what she did in her past life to deserve a friend like me (as C phrases it).
damn i just realized its 3, and i wanna be awake by 12 C & I are going to the driving range yeeeha! anyway talking bout golfff, dad and i went on the actualy course when i was in indo!

i know that theyre coming prolly at the end of the month, latest next month. and eventhough it has not even been a week since i last saw them, i miss them dearly:(
